Radio’s Future, New Technology, Hoosier Media Consumption Topics of “Dashboard Delight” Event

Dashboard Delight Radio Innovation Seminar

IBA members are invited to learn more about where radio and TV are heading during a radio, television, and advertising event scheduled for Tuesday, April 30 in downtown Indianapolis.

Registration is now open for “Dashboard Delight”, which takes place at the Silo Auto Club & Conservancy, with free parking at Silo on East Washington Street in downtown Indianapolis.

“Radio broadcasters live in challenging times, with new technology for stations and listeners that could upend the listening experience.   This event will help our members stay ahead of the changing environment by learning what’s next for radio and how stations can adapt to follow the audience. Regardless of format – from country music to news/talk, sports, inspirational, and classic hits – Indiana broadcasters can learn more about how radio continues to evolve and how to prepare for change,” explains IBA Executive Director Dave Arland.

The three-part day (with lunch included) starts with a seminar about new technology and radio, featuring:

  • Radio’s Future In The Digital Dash, Xperi
  • Amazon Smart Vehicles
  • The State of Radio In The Car: Jacobs Media
  • Taking Radio’s In-Dash Presentation To A New Level: Quu
  • NAB’s Digital Dashboard Report, National Association of Broadcasters

Television broadcasters are welcome to join at 2:00pm as the afternoon continues with a keynote from futurist Shawn DuBravac, former chief economist for the Consumer Technology Association and best-selling author.  The afternoon for IBA members ends with an overview of the IBA’s new Media Consumption Study, just completed by SmithGeiger.

At the end of the day and after a break, key Indiana advertising agency executives and media buyers will join the group for a briefing on how Hoosiers are consuming media and a cocktail reception at the Silo Auto Club, which is renowned for its hospitality and classic car collection.
