During the 2018 IBA Spring Career Fair, Skylar Sigman spent time with what is now Iron Horse Broadcasting in Logansport and ultimately secured a job in play-by-play and sales. The Indiana Broadcasters Association is, again, offering readiness training for Active Shooter Response.  The program is conducted by Sgt. Ian O’Shields, a Community Outreach and Crime Prevention Specialist with the Lafayette Police Department.  He will serve as the resource officer for the program. The program is a benefit of membership to the IBA and is free to member stations. Sgt. O’Shields discussed what stations can expect from a site assessment with IBA Executive Director Dave Arland. 

The IBA is hosting its next career fair on February 25th and 26th virtually via zoom.  More than 90-stations will be represented and students can schedule interviews now.
