2026 IBA Media Consumption Study

Each year, SmithGeiger Research conducts a comprehensive statewide and Indianapolis Media Consumption Study with more than 1,500 respondents. The research provides an ongoing look at how Hoosiers engage with media and highlights continued growth in time spent across platforms, including local television and radio, streaming services, and digital channels. The study consistently finds that local broadcasters remain among the most trusted and unbiased sources of information, while audiences increasingly connect with their trusted local media brands beyond traditional linear broadcasts through digital, social, and streaming platforms.
