Weathercasters Invited to Zoom Call Next Friday with NWS

Even though Indiana is currently in a cold snap, it won’t be long until more severe weather is a threat for the Hoosier state.  In advance of Severe Weather Preparedness Week and the state’s annual LIVE TORNADO Emergency Alert System test, the Indiana Broadcasters Association and National Weather Service will conduct a 30-minute Zoom call for all weathercasters next Friday, February 28.

This year’s Severe Weather Preparedness Week is coming up quickly in middle March, with the annual Live Tornado EAS tones planned for the morning of Tuesday, March 11.

Stations are encouraged to report about what to look for with severe weather and what it means to be under a Tornado Watch and Warning.
