IBA Now Accepting Applications for Richard M. Fairbanks Hall of Fame

The Indiana Broadcasters Association is now accepting nominations for the Richard M. Fairbanks Hall of Fame.  Nominations will be accepted through Friday, March 22nd.

The 2019 class will be announced this summer and honorees will be inducted during the annual Indiana Broadcasters Conference on Thursday, October 24th at the 502 East Event Centre in Carmel, Ind.

Criteria

Nominees shall have demonstrated a significant dedication to the broadcast industry. This may involve any phase of the business. Dedication may be judged by length of service and steady advancement and accomplishments that have earned the nominee and his/her employer recognition.

Nominations should provide details on the individual’s career.

Also, to be considered is a nominee’s credibility that has contributed to audience respect and enhanced the dignity and prestige of the industry. This subject area also should include contributions to a broadcast market or markets through positive acts of personal involvement.

Candidates should have an Indiana connection either by birth or broadcast experience.

Nominations may come from a current employee at an Indiana radio or television station, a broadcast faculty member at an Indiana college or university or a retiree with a minimum of ten years of service in broadcasting. Nominations must include sufficient information to justify eligibility.
