WLFI-TV, the CBS affiliate in West Lafayette, IN, the home of Purdue University, is looking for a dynamic Sports Talent/Producer/ Multiplatform Journalist that can do it all! Plenty of opportunity to shoot and report on all breaking News, High School sports, and Big 10 action!
The successful candidate will be able to shoot compelling video and interviews, report, write, voice and edit stories for broadcast, develop newscasts, and post content to the web. We’re looking for someone who can ready content for multiple platforms using strong editorial, journalistic, organizational and communication skills.

Required Skills

Applicants must demonstrate ability to handle DV cameras with hard drive, non-linear editing, laptop computer, web cam, mics, cables and any other equipment needed to perform the daily duties of digital news gathering. Work closely with News Managers and Assignment editors to determine content and develop newscasts.

Superior writing skills are key, as well as your ability to connect with the audience. Must have a positive, results-oriented attitude and be a team player. We need a leader in both the Newsroom and the Community.

Education Required

Four year college degree in Broadcast Journalism and internship in TV required. Must have good driving record and valid driver’s license.
