Looking to make your mark in the world of sports? WEVV-TV, the CBS & FOX affiliate in Evansville, Indiana, is looking for a Sports Director.

The candidate we’re looking for will deliver the local sports news in a clear, pleasant, authoritative, and professional manner. Our Sports Director will report on unique local stories, and will cover more than just highlights. The Sports Director will write stories for our website, and make and maintain contacts in the Tri-State sports community. You will be required to shoot & edit video so it helps tell a story. The Sports Director will also assist multimedia journalists who are assigned to sports stories.

Required Skills

Ability to edit raw video to newscast form in a manner to complete the story for the viewer.
Must be detail-oriented.
Must present professional image as a representation of the station at all times.

Education Required

High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in broadcasting, journalism, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years video photography in a medium or major market TV News station preferred, but not required.
