Master Control Operator

Job Description

WEVV-TV, the CBS & FOX affiliate in Evansville, Indiana, is looking for a Master Control Operator.

The Master Control Operator is responsible for all local and network programming that airs on our stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(Other duties may be assigned)
• Monitor playout of on air programming for audio and video quality. Record syndicated programs that air at a later time.
• Segment and air check programs prior to airing for proper playout of breaks within the program.
• Monitor the transmitter operations and report deviations to Engineering.
• Monitor EAS reception and make sure EAS alerts received are relayed to air appropriately.
• Log program entries for traffic reconciliation.
• Note all discrepancies (technical and programming) on the discrep reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (subject to any medical or religious accommodations or other applicable law).

Required Skills

Qualified candidates must have excellent digital and organizational skills and be a strong team player.

Education Required

Qualified candidates with a degree in Broadcasting, Communications or a related field are preferred, but not required.
