The IBA is pleased to announce Tom Tarzian as the recipient of the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award and Alan Riebe as the recipient fo the 2023 Severino Leadership Award. Both broadcasters will be formally recognized during the Spectrum Awards and Hall of Fame Ceremony October 2 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Tarzian has been CEO of Sarkes Tarzian, Inc since 1987, and has been intimately involved in day-to-day operations. Sarkes Tarzian, Inc owns radio stations in Indianapolis, Bloomington and Ft. Wayne, as well as television stations in Tennessee and Nevada.
Riebe spent 43 years in broadcasting, and made a significant impact as sales manager and later general manager of WANE-TV in Ft. Wayne. Throughout his career, Riebe has been passionate about providing local news and programming to his community.
