Job Description

DC Broadcasting Jasper Radio Cluster Stations: WBDC/WAXL and WJTS TV18 in Jasper and are looking for a motivated news reporter, writer, and anchor. The DCBi news person works in the news department for two radio stations and a TV station by gathering, writing, and delivering news stories and newscasts for both radio and TV. The position requires coverage of meetings in the evening. The job requires a working knowledge of standard control room equipment and production equipment. The work day will be flexible and include weekends. DCBroadcasting is looking for a dynamic individual who lives for news and is proficient at coordinating with others in the news department. News personnel must be willing to participate in all additional station(s) activities and events. The position is open immediately.

Required Skills

Must be able to shoot video, write news stories, and record radio and TV newscasts. A working knowledge of Final Cut/or/Sony Vegas video editing and Adobe Audition audio production systems a plus. Applicant should possess good communication skills, basic computer skills and knowledge of on-air principles.
