Job Description

WBIW, WQRK, and WPHZ radio stations are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Full-Time News Journalist to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about local news, has strong reporting and storytelling skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role involves covering local events, conducting interviews, writing and producing news content, and delivering on-air broadcasts.

Required Skills

Experience:
Previous experience in journalism, broadcasting, or media reporting is preferred.
Strong writing, interviewing, and audio editing skills.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in audio editing software and newsroom systems.
Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems.
Other Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
