Account Executive – Radio
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to join our team, focusing on business development for our portfolio of radio stations including: WAZY (96.5), BOB-FM (95.3), Y95 FM (95.7 FM), The Patriot – (104.3 FM). This position has the opportunity to sell a 50,000 watt station across 20 counties and 2 state lines. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and crafting effective advertising solutions to meet the needs of local and regional businesses. Prospect and identify new clients across diverse industries to promote and sell advertising solutions tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities include:
Develop and implement strategies to expand the station’s market presence and achieve revenue goals. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their business goals and delivering value through customized radio advertising campaigns.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring timely and effective communication. Collaborate with internal teams (creative, production, and programming) to design advertising campaigns that align with client objectives.
Present campaign proposals and analytics to clients, highlighting opportunities for growth and improvement.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for business growth.
Analyze audience demographics and ratings to develop compelling sales pitches and recommendations.
Performance Metrics and Reporting:
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Prepare sales forecasts, activity reports, and client summaries to track progress and demonstrate ROI.
Required Skills
Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in media, advertising, or radio.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Strong understanding of marketing principles and media planning.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple accounts.
A self-starter with excellent negotiation skills and a results-oriented mindset.
