Honor Your Engineer with a 2020 “Saved My Bacon” Award

Has Your Engineer “Saved Your Bacon” During the Pandemic?

Everybody loves Hoosier bacon!

IBA is cookin’ up some sizzlin’ recognition for technical staff who have gone above and beyond during the pandemic.  We want to help you recognize the men and women who keep you on the air with an official

Broadcast engineers have worked hard in 2020 to keep stations on the air and Hoosiers informed despite the challenges of social distancing.  TV and Radio stations rely on engineers during the most trying times and, so often, these engineers respond to the call.

The Indiana Broadcasters Association is, again, recognizing the impactful work of Hoosier broadcast engineers with the “Saved My Bacon” Award.

Station general managers are asked to nominate individuals or teams who have literally “Saved My Bacon” with their technical prowess on individual projects or a series of projects done throughout the year.

Tell us how these unique individuals helped keep your station on air, adapted to broadcast away from the studio, or developed innovative operation plans to stay connected with your audience.

Nominations are due by Friday, August 28th and can be submitted by completing a short form below.

The IBA will honor this year’s recipients in a special, socially-distant way this fall.
