The Indiana Broadcasters Association is sending Hoosier broadcasters to Las Vegas in October for the Sales and Management Television Exchange, NAB Show, and Radio Show.
The IBA will awarded ten, $2,000 grants to stations to send their staff to the conferences.
Fill out the application below by Friday, August 6th. Reimbursement grants will be awarded to stations via a lottery which will be chosen on Tuesday, August 10th.
Sales and Management Television Exchange (Oct. 8-13)
The Sales and Management Television Exchange (SMTE), formerly known as the Small Market Television Exchange, is the industry’s only national television conference designed exclusively for small and medium market groups and stations in DMAs 40-210.
Hosted annually by NAB, SMTE focuses on transformative strategies to attract emerging and non-traditional advertisers and strategies to enhance the stations’ position in the local marketplace. Traditionally, SMTE is hosted over two days in the fall, located in a different city each year.
SMTE provides innovative leadership and sales management strategies, success stories to help small and medium market stations grow their business and the exchange of creative sales promotion ideas proven to generate revenue for stations.
About SMTE 2021
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SMTE 2021 will be co-located with NAB Show in Las Vegas, October 8-13, along with the Radio Show.
SMTE will be held on October 8-9, 2021, at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. This year’s theme, “SMTE: The Spinoff,” reflects how the industry has had to pivot from traditional sales and management strategies to new and innovative ideas and tactics, creating a different yet significant impact on the industry.

This competition allows small and medium market stations to exchange successful revenue-generating ideas to implement in their markets. It is an opportunity for stations to gain new ideas to plan their ad sales campaigns for the year.
SMTE attendees have walked away with up to $7 million in revenue-generating ideas for their station each year. The Money Makers Competition is also consistently rated the most valuable session at SMTE among past attendees.
