IBA Washington Update with Dave Arland

IBA board members who represent stations in most parts of the state were proud to advocate for and represent Indiana TV and radio stations last week in Washington D.C.

The group met with every Indiana Member of Congress or their staff to discuss key issues impacting broadcasting in the state including the Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA) which now has been signed by every member of the Indiana House delegation after Rep. Susan Brooks (IN-4) signed on after the meeting with Hoosier broadcasters.

LRFA opposes any new tax, fee or royalty on local radio stations and has bills in both the House and Senate.  Each have have strong bipartisan support.

In this video, IBA Executive Director Dave Arland shares some additional details and insights on key issues discussed during the Congressional meetings.
