We’re excited to announce that submissions for the 2025 Spectrum Awards—honoring the best in broadcasting—are now open! The deadline to submit entries is July 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET.
This year, we’ve introduced several new award categories and made updates to the descriptions and guidelines for some of our existing ones. We encourage all entrants to review these changes carefully before submitting.
Important Note for “Best Newscast” Submissions (Radio & TV):
Beginning with the 2025 Spectrum Awards, the IBA selected a “Contest Day” so that all newscast submissions will be drawn from the same day. The date that has been selected is Friday, June 6!
It was announced on June 10, 2025 that the date selected for Best Newscast would be Friday, June 6, 2025.
