CARMEL, IN – June 3, 2025 – Seven broadcasters will be recognized this fall as the latest inductees into the Indiana Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame, an honor that salutes the contributions of more than 200 radio and TV luminaries who have excelled in Indiana broadcasting. The honorees will be recognized at a special Hall of Fame luncheon event planned for Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at The Bluffs at Conner Prairie at 131st Street and Allisonville Road in Fishers. Bob Jenkins and Marilyn Schultz will be posthumously honored at the event.
“The Hall of Fame recognizes the contributions of prominent broadcasters who have served communities throughout Indiana, making their mark in news and sports coverage, technology, and entertainment. We look forward to celebrating this landmark achievement in September and encourage friends and family of this year’s honorees to join us in celebrating with the seven broadcasters who will be honored this year,” said Dave Arland, executive director of the Indiana Broadcasters Association.

This year’s honorees are:

Sandra Chapman, investigative reporter for Indianapolis television stations WISH-TV and WTHR-TV;

Bob Freeman, news director and sales executive at Evansville television stations WFIE-TV, WEHT-TV, and WTVW-TV;

Bob Jenkins, sports auto racing announcer on ESPN, ABC, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Network;

Clyde Lee, news anchor at WRTV-TV in Indianapolis;

Marilyn Schultz, news producer at WTHR-TV Indianapolis and for NBC;

Rick West, radio announcer and program director at WXKE Radio in Fort Wayne;

Diane Willis, news anchor at WRTV-TV in Indianapolis.
