The Emergency Alert System Required Monthly Tests (RMTs) are scheduled for the third Thursday of every month at 2:50PM on odd-numbered months and at 4:50AM on even-numbered months.
Each month, a required test of the Emergency Alert System takes place statewide. The test originates from WFBQ Radio in Indianapolis and occurs on the third Thursday of every month.
Below is the required monthly test schedule for 2023.

*Note that the March test date is in addition to the annual “Live Tornado Warning Code” EAS test done during Severe Weather Preparedness Week. The National Weather Service will trigger a Live TOR code on the morning of March 14 (with March 15 as a backup in case of inclement weather.)
