RTV6 working together with United Way to support Central Indiana COVID-19 Community Economic Relief Fund

INDIANAPOLIS – RTV6 is proud to join forces with United Way of Central Indiana for the Central Indiana COVID-19 Community Economic Relief Fund (C-CERF).

In conjunction with the Fund’s founding partners Lilly Endowment Inc., Central Indiana Community Foundation (through the Glick Fund and The Indianapolis Foundation), Eli Lilly and Company Foundation, Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, and Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation, United Way launched C-CERF on March 13, 2020, to support organizations which serve individuals and families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through a multiplatform campaign, United Way and RTV6 are working together to increase donations to C-CERF and tell the stories of how those dollars are making an impact on the community.

“Battling the economic hardships caused by COVID-19 will require a long-term commitment and RTV6 is eager to join this effort and help Hoosiers get back on their feet,” said Lana Durban Scott, RTV6 vice president and general manager.

One hundred percent of all donations to C-CERF will go directly to organizations who are serving those in need.

“RTV6 has been a proud supporter of United Way’s work for many years,” said Greg Fennig, chief marketing, communications, and community relations officer for United Way. “This partnership will rightfully recognize the compassionate, resilient warriors of our region and demonstrate how together, we can lift our community up and change tomorrow, today.”

RTV6 is honored to share stories of local everyday heroes stepping up to support those impacted by these unprecedented times. “Through this partnership, the value these citizens and local servants bring to the fabric of our communities will be celebrated on all platforms,” said Durban Scott.
