This session is for any station that struggles to attract, hire and retain employees, with a focus on sellers. Ideal for Owners, General Managers, Sales Managers, HR and those who deal with social media.
In this interactive two-hour workshop, Kahn will discuss why and how to implement a plan where stations will win. Topics include who should be involved, how to budget, best practices for compensation, creating a job profile that will attract what you need and most importantly building and working a talent pipeline.
Learn how to go beyond the job seekers who are not right. Interview tips on how to deal with passive candidates and how to onboard them. We will share what is working for other companies who are attracting a better qualify of candidates. You will leave with a plan, ideas that are easy to implement and hope to build a better team today and tomorrow.

Successfully placing people since 1993, Kahn has expanded her practice, lending her staffing and sales management expertise to the general market. In media, Kahn has developed various training programs to help guide managers in how to hire, on board and retain new talent, primarily in the sales department.
Kahn’s more than 25 years’ experience in media includes local and national sales positions in both large and small markets; turn around expertise with new formats; and local and national management positions.
Kahn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and a minor in television, radio and film from Stephens College. She is a Certified Placement Specialist through the American Staffing Association and has completed numerous Employment Law courses.
Kahn has been an elected member of MIW (Most Influential Women in Media) yearly 2008-2018 and has received numerous awards including: 1997 Recognition Award from the Center for Urban Business, Outstanding Salesperson of the Year Award from Torbet Radio, Outstanding Radio Salesperson from American Women in Radio & TV/KC Chapter and First Place Marketing Company from the National Association of Staffing Services.
