The Executive Committee of the Indiana Broadcasters Association Board of Directors today unanimously elected WITZ and WQKZ Radio general manager Gene Kuntz of Jasper as the association’s new Board Chair. Moving up from Radio Vice Chair, Kuntz assumes his new role immediately and has served on the IBA Board for nearly a decade.
“I’m eager to work with an outstanding Board of Directors from radio and TV stations throughout the state of Indiana,” Kuntz said. “We have built a solid foundation for our association, and I am pleased to be named the IBA Board Chair so that we can continue to serve the needs of more than 270 members of the Indiana Broadcasters Association. With the recent successful completion of both the annual Indiana Broadcasters Conference and the Midwest Broadcast & Multimedia Technology Conference, we will work together to provide more opportunities for our members to learn and better compete, as well as compliance and recognition events that will celebrate the important role of our member stations throughout Indiana,” said Kuntz.
The IBA Board will consider an opening for Radio Vice Chair on the Executive Committee at the organization’s next meeting – on Thursday, January 23 at 12noon in Carmel.
