The perfect candidate will have the majority of the required competencies, but also will have the desire to grow, learn, and contribute. Two years of broadcast engineering or related experience is required. This includes experience with and knowledge of FCC rules and regulations as they pertain to licensing and operating a full-power FM/HD radio station; radio frequency transmission and reception systems; and computer networks, operating systems, and digital audio platforms. Experience teaching, training, and managing staff members on the proper operation of radio studio and transmission equipment is preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in communication, telecommunications, media or a related field is preferred, but not required. Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) certifications are a plus.
