Weekend Anchor/Reporter

Job Description

WTWO is looking for someone to be our newsroom leader on the weekend. This position will produce and anchor weekend newscasts. The other three days a week will be MMJ reporting. The successful candidate should have good news judgement, solid writing and social media skills, and a track record of working in a team environment.

Develop story ideas. Gather and verify accurate information through interviews and research. Present compelling, clear, creative and accurate reports.
Use various social platforms to give updates as well as news stories to the public.
Solid vocal delivery, camera presence, and clear enunciation.
Produce newscasts using all available tools, including graphics and video.
Understand the importance of social media.
Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar and organizational skills.

Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Communication/Journalism or related degree required. Will consider a new graduate who has the required skill set.
