Job Description

WLFI-TV is seeking a Multi-Platform Journalist / Fill-in Anchor.

Applicants must have strong camera presence, solid vocal delivery, and clear enunciation, and the ability to relate to viewers. This position requires strong reporting skills, the ability to develop local contacts, ability to shoot and edit video, clear writing, and good use of video and sound in storytelling. This position also requires the ability to write and post stories to the WLFI website.

Required Skills

Daily tasks may include generating local stories, shooting interviews, compelling video, and promotions, writing and editing stories for broadcast and web, or anchoring newscasts. Must be able to handle equipment needed to perform the daily duties of news gathering for a multi-platform, multi-tasking job.

Education Required

Required: one year of broadcast television news experience, 4-year college degree in broadcast news, good driving record and valid driver’s license. We offer the opportunity to grow within a dynamic media company. CBS affiliate in Big 10 university town.
