Multiplatform Journalist / Fill-in Anchor

Job Description

WLFI-TV is seeking a Multi-Platform Journalist / Fill-in Anchor.

Daily tasks may include anchoring newscasts, generating local stories, shooting interviews, compelling video, and promotions, writing and editing stories for broadcast and web. Applicants must have strong camera presence, solid vocal delivery, and clear enunciation, and the ability to relate to viewers.

Required Skills

This position requires strong reporting and producing skills, the ability to develop local contacts, ability to shoot and edit video, clear writing, and good use of video and sound in storytelling. This position also requires the ability to write and post stories to the WLFI website.

Must be able to handle equipment needed to perform the daily duties of news gathering for a multi-platform, multi-tasking job.

Education Required

Required: 1 year of broadcast television news experience, 4-year college degree in broadcast news, a good driving record, and a valid driver’s license.
