Morning Anchor / Multiplatform Journalist
Job Description
WLFI-TV is seeking a Morning Anchor / Multiplatform Journalist.
Daily tasks include Anchoring Morning Newscasts, generating local stories, shooting interviews, compelling video, and promotions, writing and editing stories for broadcast and web. Applicants must have strong camera presence, solid vocal delivery, and clear enunciation, and the ability to relate to viewers. Must be able to handle equipment needed to perform the daily duties of news gathering for a multi-platform, multi-tasking job.
Required Skills
This position requires strong reporting and producing skills, the ability to develop local contacts, ability to shoot and edit video, clear writing, and good use of video and sound in storytelling. This position also requires the ability to write and post stories to the WLFI website.
Education Required
One year of Broadcast television news experience, 4-year college degree in broadcast news, a good driving record, and a valid driver’s license.
