Job Description

ABC57 News has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and creative journalist. We are looking for a Full-Time Lead Video Editor to help lead and train our staff of editors.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for editing news and sports content in our evening newscasts and occasionally shooting news as well.
Consistent use of the following software programs: Grass Valley Edius, Stratus, Adobe Premiere, DropBox, WeTransfer, Avid iNews, Microsoft Outlook
Long-form editing of special projects/sweeps stories
Other duties, as assigned.

Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for job, if not currently employed by Weigel Broadcasting Co.

Required Skills

On-site work required. Remote work is not available.
Previous experience with any editing program is required.
Management experience preferred.
Should have a keen eye for detail, be happy to work under pressure, and be flexible with scheduling.

Education Required

High School diploma and/or GED, College Degree preferred.
