TITLE: Broadcast Engineer
DEPARTMENT: Engineering
REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering
FLSA: Full Time-Exempt

Position Summary – This position is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of electronic equipment related to Television and Radio broadcast and some non-broadcast equipment for South Bend operations of Family Broadcasting Corporation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities –
· Install, repair, operate & maintain technical equipment for operation of television and radio
· Troubleshoot and make corrective repairs to equipment as needed.
· Maintain transmitters.
· Log and maintain equipment repair and inventory.
· Log and maintain transmitter logs.
· Log and maintain wire logs and schematics.
· Train and assist operators in the use of equipment.
· Perform other related duties as required.

· Knowledge of television engineering and production.

· Knowledge of new technologies; commitment to staying current with fast paced changes.
· Excellent listening and trouble-shooting skills.
· Well-organized and self-directed with the ability to work independently and as a team-player.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong ability to effectively communicate
complex concept to a wide and diverse audience.
· Excellent time management, customer service and communication skills.
· Ability to meet specific deadlines, multi-task and follow directions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related broadcasting field and five years of experience combined in Engineering and Broadcasting.
