Television advertising. We see it every day. Curious about what goes on behind the scenes? WEVV is searching for an Administrative Sales Assistant to learn the business from the ground up. The successful candidate will assist our sales team throughout the sales process from researching to proposals and so much more.

For example, this role will include the following essential duties, among other things:

Design sales proposals/presentations for the sales department. May include illustrating upcoming programming, computer ratings successes or special packages. May also include assisting Digital Sales Manager on finishing packages for digital proposals. This will require excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Strategize with sales teams on ideas and development of proposals and offer suggestions that may make a higher impact with the advertisers.
Execution of proposals efficiently and error-free knowing that these will be going directly to outside advertisers. This may include being at the presentation in person along with one of the sales representatives and/or sales managers.
Duties may include helping sales team with collecting co-op scripts and television spot receipt.
Coordinate research on business categories using the TVB, network affiliate websites, AdMall and other sources in preparing sales pieces for entire sales team. Assist in reconciliation of any order discrepancies after invoiced.
Provide general administrative assistance including, but not limited to, internal and external communication, generate customer mailings and shipments, sales promotion activities, and photocopying.
Assist Vice President/General Manager, General Sales Manager, Local Sales Manager and Digital Sales Manager with other various tasks.

This is a fast-paced, high performance sales environment. You must be energetic, have a strong attention to detail, great organizational and multi-tasking skills and have very strong numeric ability.

This position also provides front desk support as the “Director of First Impressions.”

Required Skills

Qualified candidates must have excellent writing and digital presentation skills and be a strong team player.

Education Required

Qualified candidates with a degree in Business, Broadcasting, Communications or a related field are preferred.
