IBA Member Internship Participation

Member stations are eligible for a $3,000 reimbursement for paying interns from IBA member colleges and universities in the areas of television news producing, broadcast engineering, and radio/TV sales.

Stations are expected to pay students $15 / hour during the internship while providing an experience that lasts at least 120 hours, but no more than 200 hours.

Submitting this form prior to the start of the internship and an accounting of the amount paid to the student at the conclusion of the internship is necessary for IBA to reimburse the cost of hosting the intern.

Station Reimbursement

Station is airing, or agrees to air moving forward, the minimum required IBA Public Education Program announcements each month.(Required)

Station agrees to allow an IBA representative to conduct an on-site, or virtual, visit near the conclusion of the internship to briefly discuss the experience with the student and supervisor.(Required)
